About

Glazr Video Compressor makes videos small enough to send, without uploading them anywhere. Drop your videos, choose where they will go, and press Compress.

It picks the right resolution and settings for each destination: WhatsApp, Email and Discord stay under their limits, and "Under a size" never goes over the number you type. You see the expected size before you start, and the graphics card is used when it is faster.

Everything happens on your computer. After compressing, the whole new file is played through once to make sure it opens everywhere, then saved next to the original under a new name. Your originals are never changed or deleted.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, completely: no watermark, no length limit, no account and no paid edition. A small banner at the bottom of the window shows news from IGY Apps; anything from another company is labelled as an ad.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. Compressing happens on your computer and works offline. When online, the app only downloads the banner and the newest version number, sending the app name, system, language and install source.

Does it change my original video?

No. The result is saved next to the original under a new name such as video_whatsapp.mp4, and the app never writes over a file.

Will the result work on WhatsApp?

Yes. Choosing WhatsApp keeps the file under the WhatsApp limit as an MP4 that plays on every phone, and every result is checked before it is saved.

Is there a Mac version?

Yes. The Mac version is available now for Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 12 or newer, signed and notarized by Apple. Intel Macs are not supported for now.
