Animal Fable

Farfura and the Missing Bracelets

A gentle animal story about a little mouse who learns that help can come from someone we first misunderstand.

Farfura the little mouse stands near her cottage with a kind cat officer searching for the missing bracelets

Farfura was a small mouse who lived in a warm wooden cottage at the edge of the forest. Her home was tiny, but she kept it neat: a picture book on the shelf, a little cup by the chair, and a blue box for her favorite golden bracelets.

The bracelets were a birthday gift from her mother. Farfura wore them on special days, then carefully placed them on the table beside the window before bedtime.

A Strange Morning

One quiet evening, Farfura took off her bracelets, placed them in their usual spot, turned out the lamp, and went to sleep.

In the morning, she hopped out of bed and sang:

🐭 Today I will tidy my cottage and polish my shiny bracelets!

But when she reached the table, the bracelets were gone. She opened the blue box, looked under the chair, searched behind the curtain, and whispered:

🐭 Where did they go? Someone must have taken them!

After a moment, Farfura decided to visit the forest police station.

Farfura the little mouse stands nervously inside the forest police station while a kind cat officer smiles behind his desk

The Officer Who Looked Frightening

Farfura stepped inside the station and froze. The officer behind the desk was a large cat with long whiskers and a neat blue cap.

She stepped back and thought:

🐭 A cat? How can I ask a cat for help?

The officer noticed her fear and smiled gently.

🐱 Do not be afraid, Farfura. I am here to help the forest, not to frighten anyone.

Farfura took a slow breath and came closer. She told him about the bracelets, the open window, and the little table where she always left them.

The cat officer nodded.

🐱 We should not blame anyone before we find the clues. Let us look carefully.

A Trail in the Garden

At Farfura's cottage, the officer examined the garden. He saw a long mark in the soil and said:

🐱 A big snake passed here, but that does not mean the snake took your bracelets.

He followed the trail to a nearby burrow and searched around it. There were no bracelets. Then he returned to the window and asked:

🐱 Where did you place them last?

Farfura pointed to the table.

🐭 Here, beside the open window.

The officer leaned closer and noticed something shining high in a tree.

🐱 I think we have found our clue!

The cat officer points to a crow nest high in a tree while Farfura sees her golden bracelets shining among the branches

The Crow's Shiny Nest

The officer asked a little guard bird to fly up to the branch. A moment later, the bird returned with the golden bracelets.

The cat officer laughed softly.

🐱 The snake did not steal them. The crow loves shiny things and carried the bracelets to its nest.

Farfura felt relieved. Then she looked at the officer and said shyly:

🐭 I am sorry. I thought you might hurt me because you are a cat.

The officer answered kindly:

🐱 Sometimes we are afraid because we do not know the whole truth. It is better to ask, look, and learn before we judge.

Farfura thanked the officer and the little bird. Then she closed her window and kept the bracelets safely inside the blue box.

From that day on, Farfura told her friends:

🐭 Do not judge someone by how they look. Watch what they do and how they treat others.

What Do We Learn?

  • We should not judge others by appearance.
  • Calmly looking for clues helps us find the truth.
  • Special things need a safe place.

After-Reading Discussion
